| To all the past and current members of LML Clan, I wish to thank you all for being part of a great experience in Medal of Honor. This website and server will be closing permenantly July 20th, 2009. There has been very little activity on server and the website and it is time to let LML die. To Ned the Shrunkenhead (Shayne) for his vision of this clan, keeping it alive for many years in heart and $$$, we say thanks! It was a great ride, I will miss you all, and if you ever decide to look me up, I will probably be playing the Modern Warfare2 coming out this fall. Adios my friends. Bobzilla thebobzilla©cox.net We will be having our fairwell get together game play on the spearhead server on FRIDAY, 17th July 2009, 8pm EST (5pm PST). Please join us for one last game(s) and goodbye. Join our teamspeak if you will. See ya there. bobzilla Letter from LML founder Ned the Shrunkenhead (Shayne) Good bye LML I felt I needed to write something. Why I am not sure but I guess when I think about it, I need closure. Closure on a game I have played and loved for almost a decade now! So with that I will tell my story, not the entire story but the parts relevant to the starting and ending of the LML. Before I started playing Moh the only other game that I had ever had any real fascination with was a game for the Apple II e called StarBlazer, but StarBlazer came out in 1981. So as you can see it’s safe to say I was NOT a “gamer”. Shortly after Medal of honor was released I received a phone call from a buddy that during conversation insisted that I HAD to pick up this game called mohaa. He was so convincing that I did make the trip to our local computer store to purchase the game. Later that week and after playing the missions a bit I called my friend back to tell him I had purchased the game. When I talked to him he went on to tell me that him and his friends had a “clan”. What I find interesting now is that all my New friends played on a lan connection, they didn’t play like we do on a server. I played like this until Spearhead came out, slowly my new friends stopped playing Mohaa one by one. I Soon discovered that you could play Medal of Honor Spearhead ONLINE!!! LOL I had no idea but once I figured this out I was hooked and played the crap out of my mohaa. Soon I met new friends on line and got to know a few players, I went from a few clans GM, KZK, & The bunny Ranch before starting my own clan called “The Last Exile” =[TLE]= during my time with TLE I learned how to interact with Gamer type people, how to manage a clan, how to load mods onto a server, and how to manage a website, all with the help of a friend of mine who was in both the GM and KZK clans with me, the legend Bobzilla. So yes my good friend and mentor Bobzilla was with me in every clan I ever played in. Actually other than Lan parties don’t know the game of Mohaa with out Bobzilla and to be honest I am both very fortunate and thankful for that. Another thing I learned was that once you leave a clan there is always baggage that follows you! So when we left GM there was baggage, same when we left KZK. That being said our new clan TLE The last Exile had to die. Bobzilla and I had to start fresh, new name, new server, and we in conversation with ?What the leader of and founder of OFC The Old Farts Clan we decided to start a clan called The Living Moh Legends =[LML]=. That brings me to another point, The Name LML does require some explanation; the name was giving to us by my youngest son who at the time was 8 years old. My son although very young was still very aware and familiar with the names of Bobzilla, ?What, and Ned the ShrunkenHead. When he heard those names being the founders of this new clan he said You guys are Living Legends in Moha! LOL he was of course joking and while we took the name serious we didn’t take our self’s too serious. Like Uncle Bobzilla would come to always say “we are Legends in our own minds!” Well this brings us up to LML and the fun we had starting this clan, I was approached by ?What while he was still in OFC but needing a change, nothing more, nothing less. ?What was very excited to start a new clan with a new vision of a very friendly place to play, and a well run organized clan. I think during the height of the LML clan we achieved ?What’s vision. With Bobzilla and I the 3 of us went on our way to start to draw out the required documents and information we would need for our Admins and members. Once the Clan was underway we would send out the LML Guidelines to each new member. Once a new Admin was appointed we would also send him a copy of the Guidelines so to refresh him/her self. We would send out the Rcon tool with Rcon instructions, the LML members list with email instructions the server.cfg, and the MOHStartsetup as well as the All Seeing eye game launchers. I should add her that later on the Moh Legend Southern Belle made quite a few excellent revisions to the LML guidelines. I’ll go on now and talk a little about the most popular player I have ever seen in moh, Belle was Legendary before she was LML for both her wit and Bash! She had a cult like following and once she left LML I knew I was also done playing. Southern Belle, This LML member deserves recognition for all the worked she did as does Major Target. Southern Belle and I became quite close as when I was running LML I came to understand that we had a very special and caring person in our clan. When things would get crazy I would go to Belle for her clean and unbiased opinion on the best approach and while I didn’t always do exactly what she would suggest there were more times I did than not! I soon realized that we LML had an edge on other clans having a woman on board!! Trust me Belle has the woman’s intuition she was a great teammate and someone I miss very much, as I do Bobzilla. At the start of LML my two sons and 3 nephews and brother in law all played in LML slowly after about a year they started to play less and less. At first I felt insulted as I was financing this GREAT place to play but soon realized that the “kids” were just moving from game to game like most do at their ages. Without my children playing as much I slowly started to lose interest in the game. At this same time I saw the kids starting to play Xbox360. Well I wish after this I had a better ending but basically LML was doomed once my own children had moved on to other excitement, I was soon to follow. I began after 6 months of them playing Xbox360 to also “give it a try”. I HATED THE XBOX360 Controllers!!!!!! Hated them! But..... I kept on plugging away on it. I tried to hook up a keyboard, yeah that didn’t work! So I kept trying the Xbox360 until finally without realizing it right away, one day I got it! I could play. My game of choice with Xbox360 became Call of Duty World at War, great game. I was once again playing with all of my sons, nephews, and brother-in-law! Life is good. So please forgive me for giving up on Moh I still wonder at times if one day I will come to regret my decision not to dedicate the time needed to run and maintain the clan. I am sure that I will one day miss playing moha but I am also sure that it will be the people and friends I met along the way that I will most definitely miss more! I am proud to say that with Bobzilla, and ?What we had founded and ran the Top Rapid Rifle clan in mohaa. It was a good run, we provided a friendly, safe, fast playing environment for our members and guests. I will say again I met some of the best people I have ever come across in mohaa as well as some of the worst! LOL So if I ever played Moh with you at one time Please the only thing I ask for you playing on my free servers and taking part on our free forums and website over the years is that we have one last LML game tomorrow Friday July 17th 5:00 pm. (PST) And if you were LML let’s wear those tags one last time! One last game for LML, I hope to see all my old friends there. So here is my signoff, thanks to all member of LML a special thanks for Bobzilla, ?What, and Southern Belle. =[LML]=Ned the ShrunkenHead (fear the ShrunkenHead) =[LML]= Living MoH Legends “Where Legends come to Play” ![]()
